Concept ĭrawing upon the sacred power of the Fathom Orb, Nyx’s people, the Melem, have learned to walk between dimensions. But as soon as she touched the Orb she was pulled out of her world and ended up in the Dreamlands, an extradimensional realm where champions from the waking world are trapped in eternal battle. When the Fathom Orb was breached by an attacker, Nyx was sent to the Orb to stop the insurgent and prevent a non-Melem from learning the Ghost Walk ability. As a Fathom Agent, Nyx is one of the Melem’s most skilled assassins, and an incredibly adept Ghost Walker.
But even the peaceful Melem call upon warriors when the need is great. Harnessing the energy of the sacred Fathom Orb, Nyx’s people – the Melem – have learned how to “Ghost Walk.” By doing so they temporarily phase-shift themselves into another dimension, allowing them to bypass threats. She can even do this while Ghost Walking to move quickly and stealthily through her environment. Having mastered the art of wall jumping, Nyx can make contact with a wall midway through a jump and perform another jump, doubling her distance.
When a jump is just a little too far, Nyx has the solution. Nyx can jump off of walls, allowing her to scale ledges or cross long distances. With no alternative, the Melem broke their inviolable law and sent their most skilled assassin to the Fathom Orb, not knowing whether she would survive, let alone how she might return. Then, the unthinkable: One of the attackers returned and breached the Orb. Bio Īges have passed since the peaceable Melem learned to harness the Fathom Orb, imbuing themselves with a trace of its baleful energy to enable “Ghost Walk”-a momentary phase-shift into another dimension.Įven when they were sieged by hulking, chitinous marauders, the Ghost Walk saved them as it had many times before. If sly and stealthy is more your thing, you might find yourself gravitating toward Nyx, whose active ability lets her sidestep danger and plan a careful attack. She specializes in agility, moving very quickly in combat having a very "hit-and-run" playstyle. Nyx the Fathom Agent is a female Melem with blue hair.
